Armed with a Dutch Brothers cup in one hand, and my camera in the other, I find my own brand of peace exploring and discovering breathtaking moments to photograph.
I first got into photography when my dad handed me his 35mm Minolta and a roll of film on a family trip to Arizona to visit my grandparents. I took pictures of cactus and the deceptively stark desert scenery, and I was hooked! In high school I took darkroom classes and was mesmerized by the images that appeared as if by magic under my fingers in the pools of darkroom chemicals.
After high school I struggled with anxiety and seasonal depression, and forgot about photography for a while. Then, in November of 2014 I bought my first Digital SLR camera decided that for one year I would push myself out of my shell and thoughtfully take pictures at least once per week. I got so excited seeing places most people don't even know exist that I forgot all about my goal and went much, much more than that.
Now I'm ecstatic to say I'm embarking on another photographic journey - portraits!
I'm SO! excited to work with you to capture those little moments - the expression in your child's face you hold so dear, belly laughs, tears of joy, and of course breathtaking scenery that makes you smile when you see it on your wall.
I am available for senior pictures, maternity photos, engagement & couples photography, events (but not weddings yet), family pictures, newborn sessions, and more!
